Super Cruise is designed to drive in the true center of the lane (+/- 4 inches or 10 cm). This may be different from where each individual normally drives and may give some drivers the feeling that they are too far to one side. In addition, in the Bolt EUV, Super Cruise does not move to one side of the lane when passing traffic.

Select compatible Cadillac models equipped with Super Cruise can steer to perform a single lane change under certain conditions,† if Lane Change On Demand capability is enabled in the vehicle’s Settings menu. Lane change functionality does not work while trailering. When it is safe to do so, press the Super Cruise button on the steering wheel to engage Super Cruise. When the symbol and steering-wheel light bar illuminate in green, you may remove your hands from the steering wheel. Do not remove your hands from the steering wheel unless the light bar is green, which indicates that Super Cruise is steering the vehicle. To disengage Super Cruise, press the Super Cruise button again or press the brake pedal.

UNDERSTANDING THE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT INDICATORS
Super Cruise† is a hands-free driver assistance technology for compatible roads. Super Cruise uses advanced technologies to provide the ease and convenience of hands-free driving. With an attentive driver, and under the proper conditions, Super Cruise can permit hands-free operation of the vehicle.
However, Super Cruise will not steer to avoid safety situations. You need to take control to steer around a traffic situation or object, merge into traffic, exit the highway, make a turn, or stop for crossing traffic or a traffic light, stop sign or other traffic control device. To disengage Super Cruise press the Super Cruise button again or press the brake pedal. If you grab the steering wheel AND press the brake pedal, Super Cruise and Adaptive Cruise Control will disengage. Each individual has their own tendency of where they drive in a lane, and where they perceive the center of the lane to be. Because we do not sit in the center of the vehicle, this can vary from driver to driver, and also depends on what type of vehicle is being driven based on how wide or tall the vehicle is.

Select 2023 vehicles will now include additional features plus an expansion of compatible roads to bring your hands-free experience to the next level. Super Cruise can only be engaged on compatible roads where lanes are separated from opposing traffic — think a divided, limited-access highway, not a suburban street. There are currently more than 400,000 miles of Super Cruise–enabled roads in the U.S. and Canada. These roads have been specially mapped by LiDAR to provide Super Cruise the data needed for hands-free driving. Explore the map of Super Cruise–enabled roads to find ones on the way to your next destination.
On these vehicles, when you turn Super Cruise off, these features will revert to the settings you had previously set for them. On other vehicles, your settings for these features will remain set, even if you turn your vehicle off and on again. The Super Cruise driver assistance technology uses Global Positioning System (GPS) sensing, GPS-enhanced data, a high-precision map and network of cameras to maintain automatic control of vehicle steering on compatible roads. The GPS uses real-time corrections and map data to determine the vehicle’s location while the Lane Sensing Camera detects the marked lanes on the road to help the vehicle automatically steer and maintain lane position. You should always be ready to take control of the steering or brakes while using Super Cruise. To ensure you’re staying focused on the road, a Driver Attention Camera located atop the steering column determines where your gaze is directed.
Feature comparisons based on data from competitors’ websites and owner manuals. Super Cruise may not be available or may disengage when it is active, based on several operating conditions. If this happens, you can find out why by using the SUPER CRUISE button on your steering wheel to view Driver Information Center messages. If equipped, Super Cruise™† is the first true hands-free driving technology for compatible roads. If your vehicle has this feature and you are not able to turn it on, here are some possible reasons it may be unavailable. With an ever-growing network, select eligible Cadillac vehicles can travel on over 400,000 miles of compatible roads throughout the United States and Canada, including both divided and non-divided highways.
When it is safe to do so, press the SUPER CRUISE button on the steering wheel to engage Super Cruise. To find out if your vehicle has this feature, contact your dealer or refer to your vehicle’s equipment list. Please check your Owner's Manual for more information about features.
